...A Friend

...I honestly never knew what this word really meant until I recently started putting my mind into it. I’ve discovered that no matter what you go through those are the people who stand by you. You may not be as close or nice to them as you wish you were but they are still there, with you. Not questioning you whether they’ve been through this before or not – They are just always there.

Realizing the mistakes I’ve done and the unfortunate choices I have made; I still know nothing about the world I live in. I guess that’s why I have you here with me.

Thank you.

Eid Mubarek!!

-Picture: My cousin holding cupcakes my aunt made,
concerning the national day (18th November)-

Eid passed. It was on the 16th of November.

This eid wasn't so bad! Though I never got to spend much time with my cousins... Went to Dubai first thing in the morning of the second day and came back on Sunday (Yesterday). - Oh well, there will be other times, I hope! - I wore my pink Baluchi dress this Eid which I l o v e d! I Haven't worn Baluchi for 5-6 years now I think, or is it more? Hmm... Anyways, I liked it, might wear Baluchi again next year!!

My Eid plans;;

First day of Eid:

On the first day of Eid the whole family meets up at my uncle's place (Which doesn't really happen anymore), then to my grandparents (dad's side) then to my mom's parents. After lunch, my mom's side of the family & I go to my grandfather's sister's place.. & then, back home (Boring, eh?) So my sisters and I decided to 'encourage' my parents on making us all go to dinner or spend more time with my aunts & uncles.

Second and third day:

It's mostly random! Either a whole day with my cousins or a trip to the U.A.E/desert/Wadii or to family gatherings... Even though I would pick spending time with my cousins & family over the road trips yet, I don't mind them tbh; I try enjoying whatever life may bring me.

Dinner; Nandos

Today, we had dinner at Nandos with my family; My aunts, mom and siblings. It was so much fun.

We kept taking lots of pictures of literally w h a t e v e r. & the food was yummy I had spicy breast chicken which will probably make me not eat chicken for a week now. The dessert was DELICIOUS.

After that, we had a walk and cruise around Qurum took lots of pictures which turned out to be pretty good! Might help me in my upcoming blog which I'm filling with all my latest photographs (Cannot wait!!)

The picture above is my baby sister, Alia. She's two years-old and she's such a girl; Puffy dresses, pretty hair, shoes chosen by her and her only.. Etc. Did I mention she's only two? And she's such a lady-like; she loves using a spoon/fork depending on what she's eating.. Which is of-course, a d o r a b l e.
I can defiantly tell that she's going to be one girly, very girly girl once she's older.
.. & That's what makes her so special .
-GOD BLESS-

My 6 year-old cousin.

My cousin have been coming over to me at school everyday now, asking me if I have any candy for him. I find that adorable. - I've made sure I had at-least one chocolate bar saved for him by the end of the day.

He's 6 years-old & the way he talks is super cute. Whenever he sees me he immediately talks about how he climbed up a wall or how he saved someone from dieing (he thinks he's spiderman). Which gets him all pumped up and hyper. And the way he smiles at me makes my whole day!

Love you, kidoOo .

O c t o b e r

October is my favorite time through-out the whole year; It has it's own vibe & it has my birthday as well :P.

7th of October
: I finally turned 14! It was so much fun and a total blast. I'd love to go back in time and do it all over again. The best part was, everyone spoiling me and making sure I was having fun <3 ..Something that meant so much to me. One 'tiny' thing was missing though, my day would've been perfect, but oh well, at-least I enjoyed while MY day lasted.

My wish:

  • A puppy! (Even though mom wouldn't ever agree, I always wanted one and I'm GETTING one.. In the future, someday.. Somehow. OR a stuffed animal would be nice too).

"Women Can't lead"

I had a discussion with my teacher about women leaders and why can’t Arab countries have a woman president.

My teacher's response:

Arabs always think that a woman can’t lead”.

What I understood from that is that women are under-estimated, and due to laws and culture women are not permitted to be apart of the constitution in the Arab world.

Women can, & should be leaders of countries, and women are not-less of a person than a man is. And you can be surprised by what the future can come you with.

The American/British constitution allows women to run for president…
Why can’t Arabs do so too?

Do you agree with the quote? Why?

[Lecture] Mohammad PBUH: The Perfect leadership role-model

I was watching Tariq Al-Suwaidan's lecture the subject was LEADERSHIP & SUCCESS. I found it inspiring and the way he explains himself and talks is amazing it just makes you drop whatever you were doing and just.. Listen! Yes, that's how good he is (Well to me, to say the least!).

Anyways, he talked about how Mohammad PBUH was a great leader and the way he planned everything out from wars to the very little things in his own home was very well thought out, rational & simply great!

Al-Suwaidan also mentioned the character that a leader should have is Patience which is a very important component; without it, you wouldn't be a leader, you would be more of a bully, eh?

My thoughts:
Leadership is NOT something you own, it's something you develop in time. If you're determined and stubborn when it comes to doing the right thing, and only that, it'll help you along the way.

No leader wants to be that one person who's afraid to take risks and only closed to certain things.. Maybe that's the thrill, right? Making new, different discussions that you've never done and in the end, it turns out pretty well.

Having the power when it comes to doing whatever you want to do doesn't mean you can take advantage of it. It's not only you you'll be harming if something goes wrong but other people who followed you, your believers.. And trust me, you do not want to dissapoint them, whoever they might be.

School, sucks.. Well, the studying part does! .. ADMIT IT.

Ever been nervous? Like literary! Nothing could calm you down unless it's that one person. Well, yes, this is one of those days; I cannot believe school's 3 days away & counting..

Everything will be SO different, I'm sure. I'm not the person I was 5 months ago I'm someone else, someone better, more mature & I understand the world better; I know I have a long way to go but I feel like I know so much and it's still not enough though I'm not looking forward for new experiences and a completely new school year.

I'm not denying the fact that I miss everyone I know from school but, I'm not open to the fact of waking up at 5 am, get ready, be in school by 7 am and study all day.

[Yeah, I know, the title.. I. Like. It.]

Untitled - Story

There were a couple of girls having a sleep over. They were having fun & it was after midnight, the door bell rang they all freaked out & started to panic (at the time the girl's parents weren't home) a pizza delivery dude showed up with their piiiiiizza!
In a short notice, the electricity went off.

One of them (the so-called brave one) got up her seat brought flashlights and gave it to her friends and she went on her way to check the error. 5, 10, 15 minutes later & she still hadn't showed up. They were all worried. So they all went to check what was going on. On their way to the living room the lights came on. All glad, but still haven't seen their friend.. they looked all over the house & they thought she might have went upstairs, back the the room.

They headed there & she wasn't around. Everyone thought she's pulling a prank on them & they forgot about her and went to sleep. The next morning when one of them went to the bathroom to take a shower; finding her dead body there covered up with blood. She screamed, of course. and went to tell the rest what she saw.

The teen's parents grieved for her absences & their heart was full of regret and agony. - the girls swore to not tell anyone.
Because of lack of evidence the case was closed.

Days, months, years have gone by & everyone has forgotten that it was a murder except the ones who saw it all.

..End.

[thanks Akram for being inspiring ;P]

The Broken Promise

I’m sure I’m not the only person who had gone through this issue.

Lately I’ve been facing a-lot of lies & broken promises from the closest people around me. I try not to blame them & understand but, it’s hard now. Considering that they always do this to me; I cannot forgive anymore. I might not show it, but I do feel it and it hurts.

I seriously feel like driving off somewhere else, somewhere better, away from the people that hurt me constantly. Somewhere cold, different, beautiful. Maybe, someday. – Most of the readers would think I’m over acting and being a drama queen but, I’m not. I hate broken promises & I had enough of them.

Cousin marriage

Note: Well, I thought I'll just post up my ideas and thoughts about different/random issues.
You can pitch in if you want to!

Cousin marriage is a marriage between two cousins, in various cultures throughout history. They are particularly common in the Middle East, where in some nations they account for over half of all marriages.
- In the past, ancient Arab tribes proposed that the law of inheritance through the daughter as well as the son encouraged first-cousin marriage in order to keep wealth in the family.

I was just wondering, there are its risks but are they high? If yes, then why isn’t it banned in the Middle East and other regions? and if not then why is it banned in some countries?

What are the risks you’ll be getting yourself into if you’re married to your cousin and what diseases you may get, if any?

Here's a link to a thread I opened about this: Clicky.

Cares a little 'too' much.

We started as cousins which didn't know about each other much, turned into enemies, in a while forgave each other and moved on, later we became friends very, very close ones.

But sometimes, everything goes wrong all of a sudden. He starts being over protective towards me which I find quite annoying, though at first was just cute and sweet. Every little thing that bothers him about me turns into this huge fight, and for me ending up by apologizing. Though, I know I did nothing wrong. He's fun, and sweet and a person very dear to my heart. It's not like I hate him because of it. But, I just want him to understand for once, that I'm no longer a kid and I can take care of myself and know right from wrong.

The important thing is, in the end we always go back to 'normal' and chitchat for hours. I'm glad when it comes to this part, but I would love to see him loosen up a bit every now and then.

A prespective in life

Photography, Is a whole different meaning to me, it’s everything. I love how one picture can give you a whole different perspective in life. Though, I’m still a beginner I would love for photography to be one of my priority goals in the near future! & I would love to make it a career, which I hopefully wish to be successful in.

People, as in my parents, family members and friends keep on advising me to make it more like a hobby than a real job, but I’m still not convinced. I still think that I should do what I love, and enjoy... Rather than doing something I don’t like and just for the sake of money. People [well most of them] think that money is what will make them happy in life, but that’s not completely true, success in all-kind different ways, do!

Money isn’t really everything, though I’m not saying it’s not important.

It’s not always about the money, people should start choosing careers they like… that’s what makes a person special, they would have a happy life; a lovely career.. Etc.

The point is…I do respect people’s decisions, in life… though; life should be all about having fun! You only live once, you know.
